On November 28th students together with their English teacher Vilma Kanclerienė went on a long trip to Klaipėda, where we participated in the Open Door Day at LCC International University. It is a North American style Christian university with students from various nationalities.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the very friendly university community. We attended the „Welcoming Session“, where we learned about the university’s study programs and met the university president. Later we could choose lectures that interested us, such as International Business & Administration, Psychology, English Language and Literature and International Relations and Development. During these sessions, we learned more about the programs and had the chance to talk with professors and students.
We could also choose sessions related to student life, such as the Campus Tour and Student Life session, and some of us participated in the Chapel, where the entire university community sings, reads the Bible and listens to talks about faith. After all the activities we had the chance to speak with LCC graduates (alumni) and ask them about their study experiences.
This trip was unforgettable. We met wonderful people of many different nationalities, learned a lot about studies and student life, and most importantly, improved our English language skills by communicating with foreigners. The biggest thanks to our beloved English teacher Vilma Kanclerienė!
